    i wasn't calling off sick because of being told to drop dead, got a lot of things going off including my nan going astray and mum not being well at all so it was the icing on the cake. Had a doctors appointment about a chest infection actually, but ended up going about several things in the end. Through it all the doctors actually said i've got severe depression, and this was why he has signed me off ill for a bit, he wants me to go on tablets but I want to see how I go as i'm not a big tablet fan at all.

    I have worked with teenagers, worked with most ages as i've trained as a teacher for 4 years (failed final placement, hence trying this job), been a camp counsellor for 3 summers and had a range of other jobs, mainly to get me through uni, it literally was a combination of a lot of things that the doctor signed me off sick for, some of which I'm not going on about on here

    When there asleep we do try and sleep, but one stays up late (until 12am often) and the other gets up really early (5am happens often as the cat wakes her up). So we end up going to bed late and getting up really early, not ideal when your starting at 12pm one day and finishing 8pm the following day, which regularly happens. If you have to get up and stay up all night (has happened a few times) theres no one to call to help and take you off, and the 24 hour support for us regularly doesn't answer the phone or even switches it off.

    Were all burnt out and theres not much support from anyone, even with sickness and diahorrea while on shift was told to still work and go to another house the following day even though it was highly contageous as it had been passed on to 3 places then passed on to staffs relatives and friends.

    So thats why I thought i'd ask on here to see what people said about breaks in shifts as there really is no support to go and ask someone about giving us breaks or time off as they just don't care and keep giving us more shifts and if we dare say no we get told off for 'telling him his job' in his words.
    :T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one :) :beer::beer::beer:
