I'm back with some promising news! Survey was carried out last week, a couple of minor issues before they will issue mortgage offer, but nothing significant, the want a cavity wall tie inspection report, which was carried out this week, with a good feedback once all the documents have gone over to them from this hopefully mortgage offer will be in the post! I wanted to add this as I felt we were a total lost cause, but a building society using a common sense approach rather than a computer says no attitude have come through for us. The catches were we had to pay off husbands debt beforehand, which only left us with funds for 90% LTV plus fees, however they were willing to lend to us at that LTV (that's both of us too!) Ok so their rates aren't market leading, but we've got a much better rate than we would have at 90% with the Halifax. And hubbys loans are gone too!

After all my doom and gloom posts, we completed Friday. I hope this post gives some hope to those who think it may be hopeless. Now to start paying the darn thing off! The lender was the vernon
