Do you have a large market near you? We get ours off the Chinese stall at Blackbushe Market.

  • Not seen anything like that on ours, I'm going to pop in my local chinese takeaway and ask if I can buy some of them :)

Don't feed pancakes to your duck they'll only get fat
  • I think with lemon and sugar they will but I'm doing them with shredded cucumber and spring onion :)

hope this puts your mind at rest
  • You can get them in Waitrose. I think you get about 10 in a pack for around £1.19 ish. They are in the refrigerated section, near the ready meals type stuff. They are quite hard to spot so ask a staff member if you can't find them. They can be frozen too, great if you want to stock up!

Do you have a chinese supermarket near you ? There is one in Leeds where I live. I bought a packet for the freezer last year -there were ten packs of ten in it and was less than £10.

I am thinking along the same lines. We have a decent Chinese Shop or two in the Town Centre but.... the recipe above looks simple enough and I also have recipe for Egg Wonton Skins where you make Egg based Pancake.
It looks jolly simple she says hopefully.
I like the idea of being able to make Chinese Pancakes with organic flour and other top qaulity ingredients, a massive improvement on the Shop Brought ones.

  • Personally I would use all of the above options and go for what is best.
But the HM idea rocks my boat.

  • well I decide to scrap the whole chinese banquet idea! Ribs uncooked were £4.50 for about 10, still had to cook and marinade them yet I could buy them ready done for £3!

Duck with orange sauce for us with various veg and roasties!
