Changing payroll terms - Notice required?

We are currently paid twice a month. Half on the 15th and half on the last day of the month.
Our employers want to change this to once a month. How long a notice period are they required to give us before they make a change like this?

OK then, how about if they wanted to change the pay date, say from the 15th to the 30th?
I have it in my head that they're obliged to give the staff three months notice, but I don't know if this is correct. Does anyone know, or know how I would find out?

Look at your contract of employment it may state the notice period they have agreed to give for changes to your contract.
