I'm having a big clearout at the moment as I'm planning on moving home. I have listed a lot on ebay but my books dont really seem to be selling. I have a selection from interior books to teach yourself french to craft books. I have sold a few but don't seem to get anywhere near what they are worth and the others just dont sell!
Does anyone sell on amazon or have a recommendation for a site where you can sell books?
Thanks a lot!

I've sold a lot on Amazon over the years. Think it's more expensive to do now than a while back but they certainly shift. There is a lot more competition now from the big discount sellers but give it a go and if they don't sell, well, at least you know their worth before giving them away.0

Try putting them into Amazon Trade-In, apparently for textbooks you can get a fair bit (although I've not used it myself so I don't know whether you get anything close to what they're worth) and for fiction they have a set rate of 25p.
I've got boxes and boxes of books that I just cannot shift and they aren't listed on any websites like Zapper, Green Metropolis or Amazon so it does depend on what they will take. It's worth trying all those websites, but I think most of mine will be going to the charity shop when I move in June!0 -
Thanks for the help. Some of the books I bought for myself only a few weeks ago and have just flicked through them so they are nearly new! I will be more careful before I buy books in the future!!
Might try amazon!

Hi, it might also be worth trying a website called "We buy books"
(Sorry I'm a new user and aren't allowed to post links on this forum yet!)
I've read they pay out for textbooks but do a comparison with the others (eg: Zapper) just in case you can get higher offers somewhere else

did you try them? I'm looking to sell some books too0 -
Have you thought about doing a car boot or table top sale? We did this last year with a clearout of books. Then the books that didn't sell I just took to a charity shop. You could also approach a local second hand bookshop or seller. They might not pay much but might give you something for them.0

You could also trying to sell them e.g. on ebay as bundles or job lots, i.e. group them even in lots of 3 similar books, maybe that would be easier. If you sold a big box you can do collection only so that you don't have to rush to the post office. Good luck

I have just tried that We Buy books, out of the 15 I want to get rid, they only wanted 2. I guess they don't want to buy popular books.
I will have a look at amazon trade in...0 -
