DooYoo - Running out of things to review?

Anyone else have this problem? I've slowly ran out of things to review! I don't like to review food, movies or books, which I feel are the only things I have left; especially as the product suggestions form is now targeted towards a few specific topics every month. I'm 3000 points away from an Amazon voucher and I know if I spent a day or two writing reviews I'd get that in no time which is frustrating!
So, DooYooers, what do you do when you hit that DooYoo block?

Look me up on there (same name as here) sure that will give you some inspiration as I've made several thousand pounds there and wrote over a thousand reviews! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I haven't got kiss_me_now's problem, but my reviews keep being locked because DooYoo don't think they have enough valid content! This keeps happening for the high point earners unfortunately

Katykicker-Wow! Good job! As you're clearly a DooYoo expert, do you have any hints or tips for writing decent reviews and bumping up your points?
Any feedback to this thread appreciated

I think I'm finding it hard because I can't review in some of the biggest categories - that being technology (having reviewed everything I own and not being able to buy more!), childcare (not being a parent) and household appliances (again, not buying appliances that often and having reviewed all that I do have)!£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0

I'd forgotten all about Dooyoo! I signed up way back in 2000 but haven't written anything for years, I've just logged into my account and the profile bit says I'm 35, I wish, so it must be about 9 years since I was active there.
It seems to have changed a bit since I last wrote anything, any tips or things I should be aware of before I write some reviews? What's the product suggestion form?Dum Spiro Spero0 -
I think it takes double the amount of time to earn Dooyoo miles now the new rules are in (Dooyoo mile categories bought in last year) it's a lot slower now for ratings too... I'm dreamer87 on there are currently rating / reviewingMember of Quidco and Dooyoo

Ahhh I have just realised who you are Katykicker by your Dooyoo picture! I'm going to look through your reviews now to make a list of things I'm able to write about too.
I do love Dooyoo I just much preferred the old points system, it seems now they are expiring faster than I can spend them!Member of Quidco and Dooyoo

My tips are as follows:
Always try and rate people back. I once stopped doing this for several months and ended up losing regular readers because of it. Try and get yourself regular people in your circle of friends and visit them even if they haven't visited you, this could prompt some extra votes.
Always write about products you own only. You will generally get caught out if you try and cheat the system.
Look up the products by Dooyoomiles. When I am having a bored day I generally can find something in level 1 that I can write a review on.
Add suggestions. If you have electronic items or other items that are frequently in level 1 then think about suggesting them. You can suggest 5 items per week (I think!) and its worth doing as you could make £5+ for doing 5 level 1 reviews. Also, if they are not in level 1 right now then wait, sometimes you need to plan ahead - then when the levels change you may even have some reviews already wrote and ready to go!
Space out your reviews. If you want to post 5 reviews a day then feel free, try to space them out and remember that mornings about 10am and evenings about 5-8pm are the peak times for ratings/readings (well they are for me anyway).
Sometimes breaking down your review will help you ensure that you have all bases covered. Think about price, appearance, quality, how long you've owned the products, where it can be bought now. Basically when you break it down its simple to read and you may find yourself writing lots more just because you can.
Lastly, always aim for 500 words. Ensure that at least 300-400 words are actual personal opinion rather than just describing what the box is like and what you were doing when you bought the item.
Feel free to message me on site if you want any more tips, one last thing - don't be involved in clicking cartels or anything like that as being seen to ask for rates can easily get you banned from the website. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. When I run out of ideas I
look in my cleaning stuff - all sorts of products and tools
look in my medicine cupboard - we just get whatever is the best value at the time so the actual brands change a lot
