recycling ink cartridges

I can't find the right group to ask this in but as you are all such good money savers I thought you'd be able to help.
Where can I make the most of getting rid of old ink cartridges, it looks like boots aren't doing as many cartridges as they used to. I've looked at Tesco and they seem ok, but the link to the page for the envelope isn't working and tesco is a bit of a trek from here.
Has anyone found anywhere else that is good for points on old cartridges. I currently have the following
Hewlett Packard - 339 -C8767E
Hewlett Packard - 344 -C9363E
Hewlett Packard - 388 - C8765E
Hewlett Packard =350 - CB336E
Hewlett Packard - 351 - CB338E
Hewlett Packard - 350xl
For those that recycle both, between boots and tesco who offers the best deal?

I haven't as yet done it but I know you can sell them on to be refilled, Ebay seems to have some decent deals on, maybe there's somewhere local you could take them.
No idea about Supermarkets, I didn't know Tesco or Boots did it!Credit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

I was going to suggest ebay.
There are places where you can trade in your empties against getting a refilled cartridge, though it's no use if you're trying to get rid of yours altogether! I pay about £8 for a 350XL doing that. They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

Selling or trading them for anything of value is, provided it's not a large amount of effort for little return, better than throwing them out, but I think in most cases the highest value option to the printer user is to refill the cartridges themselves. You can buy kits to do this that are often far cheaper than new cartridges.
I've refilled the toner in my laser printer for years and many people do inkjets too.0 -
I have also been looking for somewhere to recycle my cartridges and get some money for them.
I had a look at Cash for cartridges and some of the prices were good but they only pay out when your balance reaches £25 which would take me forever!
In the past I have sent them to Tesco who give 100 green clubcard points for each one but I've sent lots off and not had the points. I think this is my fault though as I didn't check to see which cartridges they take, probably most of mine were not worth anything. You can check here for eligible cartridges. They won't give you anything for non-genuine cartridges unless they are Tesco branded.
I do have some that qualify so I am going to try Tesco again. If you don't have an envelope you can request them here.
Good luck!

Tesco recycle cartridges for Clubcard points. You can get 100 points for each cartridge and they've now increased the limit to 100 cartridges per year, that's £100 in clubcard vouchers (it used to be 30 per year). See http://www.therecyclingfactory.com/tesco to check the list of cartridges eligible and request freepost envelopes, it's so easy.0

Try https://www.therecyclingfactory.com - this is the site that Tesco uses, but if you sign up as an individual you can get cash back rather than clubcard points and they pay far more generously than Cash for Cartridges. Also they give cash back for generic cartridges and not just originals or tesco branded - other than Tescos own brand, generic cartridges are not eligible for clubcard points . For instance, HP57 - they pay £2.60 for an original and £1.30 for a used generic - Cash for Cartridges only pays out 1p for a generic and 25p for an original so the Recycling Factory seems to me to be offering a pretty good deal!
Happy recycling!!0
