Chances of getting a decent mortgage following two late payments

Hi all
I have recently (and stupidly) had two late payments on a credit card due to traveling and not realising I had missed a payment. I called and paid the first month thinking I was up to date but this only paid the late payment and did not include the current months payment.
My partner and I are looking at moving in the next 6 months. We have a buy to let home with 30% equity and have a 15% deposit to put down on the next property. I have other credit cards but have never ever missed a payment since having CCs from 2000 until now.
I have two questions:
1. Am I likely to get a mortgage?
2. If not how long do you suggest I wait before applying?
Any help greatly appreciated

Make arrangements to pay your bills by direct debit in future.
Consult a broker as they will be best placed to know which lenders to approach.0 -
I second the advice above.
Put yourself in the lender's position. They don't have much money to lend. Would you restrict your lending to those who always pay on time, or would you actively choose to lend to those who pay late?
While the answer is not as black and white as that, you have not put yourselves in the strongest position.0
