PC World Voucher Refund

Hello, I hope I've placed this thread in the correct place as I'm a newbie!

In November, I purchased a laptop and some other bits on pieces from PC World on finance.
I was 'persuaded' to take out insurance as I was promised £250 worth of PC World vouchers (£8.99 a month:eek: )
Now, me being me, I lost all my documentation as soon as I got home and have still to find it.
I called the finance company who are in the process of sending me fresh documentation and advised me on how to pay lump sums off.:A

However, what I would like to know is how do I go about finding out more about my vouchers???
I was thinking about sending a letter but wasn't really sure how I could word it??? Have never really written a letter of complaint before, and so am rather nervous/wary of the whole thing.
Does anyone have any tips/pointers???
Also, does anyone know how I can cancel this insurance as although it's probably a sensible idea to have insurance, £9 a month seems rather a lot when I have nothing going in to my bank account!!!!

Any help would be very gratefully received!!!!!

    Hi,
I used to work for PC world till i left to have my first child.
The £250 worth of vouchers should have been given to you in store when you purchased your laptop. It's basically a small file which includes details of any repairs, servicing, health checks etc you can have and at the back is a couple of pages of vouchers, they're not a £250 off anything you want. They're £10 off one thing £5 off another £25 off another, helpfull if there's anything you didn't puchase at the time you got your laptop as I discovered when I got mine, but I'd already got nearly everything I could have had money off.
You could go into the store where you purchased your laptop or your nearest store if this isn't it and ask for the vouchers (not sure they're still doing them now but they might be able to tell you what you could do) or you could call customer services asking them about it and see what they say (0870 2420 444), or the address for the registered office is:
    DSG Retail Limited,
    Maylands Avenue,
    Hemel Hempstead,
    Herts.
    HP2 7TG

Not sure if this is for customer services though but you could try.

With regards to your cover KEEP IT!!

I took out the cover with my laptop and when my kitten knocked a glass of coke over it phone up the next day to explain, 2 days later someone came to collect it. I was told it could be anything between 10 days to 4 weeks to repair or if they couldn't repair it I would get a voucher to get a new one with similar spec. 2 weeks after it had gone, i received a voucher in the post for a new laptop and was able to get one of the most recent up to date laptops. And i got my hard drive back with all my files on!!

    Hope this is helpful!!

  • Thanks, unfortunately the customer services dept says that thet have no record of me, and would need info from my receipt (which is obv lost) to confirm who I am etc. I wouldn't mind them not having a record of me if they weren't taking money from me every month!!!!!!! :rotfl:

Just received a call back to say that they've 'found' me and will be posting my info out to me.

Thanks so much for your help (will teach me to be so careless in future!!!!!)
