Just received an email from 'Want The look'; 40% Off Moroccan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo & Conditioner with the new 500ml special editions and 10% off all orders over £25 (you can find the 10% off code on the main page). So both shampoo & conditioner would cost you £34.65 which is a VERY good price for these products!!! Didn't order myself as these are not for my hair type, but for those with damaged, coloured, dry hair it's an ideal purchase!

Please check sites legit before buying, i never intended to buy because i know that only salons are authorised to sell moroccan oil. I emailed the moroccan oil site and they have replied telling me;


"Please be advised that stores like pharmacies, grocery stores, or any website including https://www.wantthelook.com are NOT authorized retailers of Moroccanoil and Moroccanoil has not sold any of its products to these companies and/or websites. Furthermore, we have reasons to believe that many of the products currently available through these retailers are counterfeit. Consequently, we are in the process of taking strong legal actions, and we are hopeful this will soon stop these companies from offering these products that may jeopardize the health of consumers."

Hope this helps someone. Its amazing stuff but only a bargain if its legit!

Wish I'd read this first! I just ordered, too late, I've paid now :mad: so they are counterfeit?

Sorry, I was out and when they replied to my email i couldnt post straight away. Wish people would stop posting bargains until they check them out first, would save a lot of people a lot of money.

Just be careful when they arrive, they may well be okay, and legit (just not through the correct moroccan oil supply chain - but by that i assume perhaps stolen? I don't really know...) but like they said in my email response, be aware that there is no guarantee what is actually in the bottle if it is not legit!!!

This website is an extension of a salon business and after contacting they assure me they sell only genuine salon products - it also says on their website this:

Wantthelook.com was founded in August 2005 as an extension development of the Lawrence Anthony salon group, offering customers professional salon advice online and products to ultimately get the look they desire. We only sell genuine professional salon-only
products of the utmost quality.

I have contacted the manufacturer of the items, as you yourself did and am now waiting on a reply. If I find my products to be counterfeit I will start all sorts of crap on this company, I'm not a person to sell counterfeit items to! That really gets my back up.

I read the "salon extension" thing on that website too.... but if a supplier doesnt know they exist I get a bit concerned...

Ah, I am sorry for misleading you guys. I have used wantthelook before, but I have never considered the possibility that they sell counterfeit. :eek::eek::eek:
I am sure you can get your money back if you forward them those emails!

Hi,

I seen this a while ago but missed out before they sold out, was gutted as I love the products. Anyway have just seen through Facebook hairtrade now have the same offer plus free delivery if you spend over £30 on hair products. Just ordered 250ml before I seen this but luckily changed it before dispatch, phew only a few pounds more for double the size.

I work for one of the official distributors of Moroccanoil in the UK and I can categorically state the wantthelook. com is a fully legitimate stockist of Moroccanoil. They have been a stockist for well over two years. We have addressed the responce from the legal team today and they have retracted the statement and letter above as they weren't aware of all the facts.
