Amazon have the 1KG at £112 at the moment, and the 1.5KG for £175.

£63 difference seems a lot for an extra half a KG capacity

Thanks still seems so expensive. Will have to look in Tesco and use some clubcard vouchers (hoping they do their offer again around Easter), or perhaps I can borrow MIL's Argos card and pay her installments.

We got our family one in oct 2010 used most days and we had no problem whatsoever,still going strong.i think £174.99 at amazon for this model is a good price,we paid £149.99 with a free tefal pan pan set rrp £51.00 from comet.so we got a great deal,id definetly consider the family one though

Don't go anywhere near Lavertons! They will only accept bank transfer payment method and loads of people have lost their money and received no goods - see the Lavertons threads on MSE.
