When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important  Happy Saturday :j its so good I no longer have to work weekends :D

Morning guys thought I'd start us off as clearly everyone is still in bed!

Ok my plans on the DFW front today:
  • [STRIKE]check banking[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]check ccs[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]transfer stoozing spends into savings account[/STRIKE]
  • meter readings & finally give them to eon
  • [STRIKE]call BG re final bill[/STRIKE]
  • do car checks - oil/water/tyres
  • get petrol (still haven't purchased any petrol even though its been on red since Tues!)
  • check through fridge/cupboard & do meal plan - haven't been shopping in 10 days so things are getting bare, although freezer is still full
  • do shopping list
  • get items needed to do maint on car to get rid of rust & need a self tapping screw for the bumper
  • call old insurer and cancel renewal

Think that's all I'll do for today. As have something to do for most of the day. May go out for a drink with oh later as I fancy getting out

Have a great day everyone x

    Morning everyone!
My mum has taken my youngest out for the morning so I'm about to set into the cleaning. House is looking very cluttered - toys everywhere. Am going to have a good sort out and when the house is tidier I feel calmer.

    Today's plans:

Take medication to help stop anxiety
    Check Bank
Two loads of washing and drying, sorting and putting away
    Hoovering, dusting, decluttering.
Have a good look through the cupboards to plan our weekly shop - plan a meal to use the fresh bits we've not got through yet.
    Check Onepoll.
Trying for a NSD unless I decide to actually do the grocery shopping.

Afternoon everyone and thanks to DNMS for starting us :)
    Today so far:
    • I have gutted house from top to bottom and hoovered and mopped all floors been up since 6.30 I am glad it's all done
    • done an ironing
    • checked e-mails
    • still trying to get through to V!rgin- wireless still not working it works with an ethernet though don't know what's wrong. I have been trying to get through since Thurs I'm getting really frustrated
    • sorted through a bit of paperwork
    Still to do:
    • go to [EMAIL="Homeb@se"]Homeb@se[/EMAIL] to return some extra tiles and get refund
    • hopefully hang out a load of washing if it clears up
    • try V!rgin again or will have to hook pld wireless back up as DS's mates coming round to book their hols tonight so will need to be able to use his laptop
    • try and make a dinner from what's in and look at meal plan for rest of week to see what I need to get
That's it, my friends are coming round tonight so will be chilling with a few drinks have a good weekend everyone.
  • Afternoon all!

Thank god for the weekend! Had a lovely relaxing morning then been out to lunch with a friend. Been eating loads of carp lately so decided to have a salad - prawn and salmon. Restaurant had run out of salad so I asked for a piece of chicken to replace it...came with three pieces of friend breadcrumbed chicken - why would they do that to someone wanting a healthy meal...idiots lol

    Anyway, today's small things:

    - tried to persuade tv delivery man to put tv on wall for cash in hand instead of paying currys £100 - sadly he didn't have time :(
    - heating off bbbrrrrrr
    - clicks, bingo and surveys
    - brekkie and tea from stores
    - gonna use 241 blockbuster voucher for movie night with DS later

think that;s about it, enjoy the rest of the day everyone!
