Hello,
Why indeed?! If I bite the bullet & buy a new Printer, please what is the best company for cheap catridges?
Sick of forking our for cartridge, must've spent threefold what I "saved" on the actual price of a cheap printer.
Thanks in advance MSE'ers.

Hi Twinkleybev, I had a Lexmark too before this one and when I realised the cost of the cartridges never bothered getting any (well couldn't afford them!)
Lucky for me I have a lovely mum and stepdad who got me an Epsom for christmas - the cartridges for this one are only a couple of pounds each.
Don't know how much the printer was though as it was a present but supposed to be quite expensive I think they got it on a xmas deal.0 -
Ever since epson changed over to having chips in thier carts, I have bought canon printers. Usually some of the cheapest machines around other than Lexpensivemark. Canon compatible carts are available at 7dayshop for less than a pound plus postage each. My vote goes for canon.:D0

I have always had Epson printers and have had no problems with them. Don't pay more than £50 for printer, although you can get them a lot cheaper than this and the cartridges are very reasonable too. I prefer to buy the genuine ones and the last lot I got were £15 for all four. Of course you can get the compatible ones as well which work out a lot cheaper. The choice is yours. If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................
