A verbal warning due to a medical condition

Hi
Wondering if anyone could assist me please
my OH has severe allegeries (though to what we are not sure yet) and as an epipen at work in case of a bad attack. He also takes piriton everyday and a similar drug described by the doctor which is stronger.
His work know about this condition and he takes the epipen and piriton to work each evening in case of an attack.
Last night he had a bad attack, it starts with itchiness, red bumps, dizziness and if not caught in time he collapes.
Anyway he caught it in time and injected himself - he has been told that he should really go to A&e AFTER injecting himself or at least home because the effects can make him extremely drowsy.
He has had around 4 attacks at work over the last two years at work and has always came home with nothing being said - but tonight he has been given a verbal warning for the events of yesterday by a 'new manager' which he refuses to sign.
Now my OH is no angel so i dont know if 'came home' was 'walked out' - but nothing was said about it last night, just today when he was called in.
Anyway should he sign? can he be given a warning for a medical condition which can be life threatening?
Hes worked there nearly 2 years (1st may) and has no union.

he can certainly be given a warning for leaving without explaining.Debt free 4th April 2007.

Did he inform his manager or supervisor that he was leaving work?0

i think he said something along lines of 'i need to go home after using the pen' and they all know about this issue, his supervisor, his immediate boss. its his bosses boss i believe who has given the warning]0

Tell him to go to another manager who knows of him and his condition and ask him to explain. Even if he walked out, if someone explained to the manager why he left then i dont see why a warning was issued unless the manager or your OH was being a d**k
However unless he is on record with his work and has discretely discussed this with the manager in the past and they have it on record, he can otherwise still get a warning.0 -
The work has never asked for a letter from the GP or anything - but they have seen the medcines and seen the attacks take place]0

i think the work has it on file - due to the nature of the allegeric reactions he can at times be hospitalised. They also lock his medicines and pen away in a cupboard for him]0

Given you know hubs can have a small attitude problem, I'd let it lie unless he shows you the actual warning so you have a proper basis to make an assessment. You don't know the wording of it.Debt free 4th April 2007.

Did your OH have a disciplinary hearing that led to the verbal warning?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Without knowing the actual details - it's hard to advise but he is being given a warning for leaving not for his medical condition and as you aren't even sure what happened, any advice would be given with incorrect information.
If he tells us what actually happened then you might get some useful advice.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
