  • Bait and Switch.

A company like DSG should be able to have real time stock levels on their site. It sounds to me like they need a stern talking to. This is clearly a bait and switch.

A DSG store would be the last place I would buy a TV (at full price) from so the ploy fails miserably in the Beancounter household!

Looks to be back in stock? No chance though! They really are taking the pi$$ now. I even ordered a £1200 pc but I have just been told I can't have the free photo printer as it has been discontinued  Why offer it then

EDIT - I got a call about the TV earlier & was asked if I still wanted the computer, I said I was unhappy about the printer & was promptly offered the next model up or the money deducting. Wow, excellent service from PCWORLD I'm actually shocked

Yes I have had the same notice that the order was declined. How can they do this? If you have given an order and they have confirmed by e mail that they will supply it , surely you can insist they supply it when it comes back in stock?

Under the DSR's can they offer this item for sale again if they say it is discontinued?
  • To everyone who thinks that they should honour it, they wont. No point in going to trading standards or threatening them either, it's just a waste of time.

Move onto the next deal, forget this. No one will be getting one...

I'm taking them to court, no question that I will win 3/4 TV's and they will pay my fee too!

Already arranged it on the Judge Judy website.

Maybe we won't get a TV but I think they should be stopped from doing this as it is bad practice.

You need a third e mail from them to make it a legal contract so they state in their terms and conditions. I wonder if this is really true? Anyway here they are:

Quote:ORDER PROCESS - ORDERS FOR DELIVERY

You will have an opportunity to check and correct any input errors in your order up until you click the Submit Order button.

After you submit an order we will give you an Order Reference Number and details of the products you have ordered. We will send the same details to you in an e-mail (our first e-mail). We will then send a second email when we start to process your order. Please note that these e-mails are acknowledgements, not acceptance of your order.

Acceptance of your order and the creation of a legally binding contract between us will only occur when we send you a third e-mail, which will confirm your order and contain details of how we will deliver your products to you. (Alternatively, we may decline all or part of your order for any reason, in which case our third email will tell you so.)

DSG classic ploy. I guess I wont be getting one either. Is there any point of reporting this to the Tradig Standards or not. There is no point taking them to court ozzyo99. They have covered their dirty backsides & there is no chance of you winning. Last time i shopped at any DSG store was 5 years ago. Filthy expensive, poor CS and ignorant staff (I probably know more about how the female brain works than they know about electrical stuff).;)

By the way I still cannot figure out how women think.:rotfl:
Going to war over religion is basically killing one another to see who's got the better imaginary friend...
