Can anyone tell me if there are restrictions on new members?

Someone has contacted me and they say they can't see this thread, nor open their own thread on this subject.

I don't want to offer "advice" in the real world, for fear of being unable to satisfy know your customer requirements and engaging in regulated activity.

  • I've an issue related to this thread as well

I've a 2 year job overseas starting in February and we need to rent out our house. My current Halifax fixed rate ends at the end of February. What's the best way to approach them to avoid getting shafted on the interest rate and product fee?

Do I let them know I want a consent to let now? or do I request a new product, then get a consent to let? Or do I just tell them and re-mortgage with someone else if they offer me a rubbish deal? I also need my house revaluing for a new deal as with the latest sold prices on my road my house could be 55% LTV, does anyone know how cautious they are being with valuations at the moment?

I've an appointment with a Halifax advisor on Weds afternoon

You need to be logged in to start your own thread. Threads may also show in a different order if you are not logged in- not sure on this. You also will find it easier if you click the "stay logged in" box, otherwise the forum has a tendency to log you out while you are writing a post.

Certain boards are hidden if you are not locked in, but that shouldn't be this one.
