I was just at the Job Centre this morning and I told them about the recent disappointment I had with the EO role application.
Well they have told me ,as of Monday on the direct gov site there will be about 26 vacancies for the position below EO I think it's Band B and they are temporary for 6 months.
Anyway I thought I would let you guys know, I'll be applying in any case, they are for starting in May.

I remember going through the application process a few years ago. It seemed that being literate and numerate wasn't a requirement judging by how pathetic the tests were and how low the pass mark was. It answered every question I have about my dealings with the DWP.0
