Just a quick question, can you still use this letter? Nothing has changed in the couple years?

    Hi j0s

Nothing that I am aware of. The references it makes to the Consumer Credit Sourcebook (CONC) are still valid and relevant.

Great letter, thank you for sharing the template. I have an additional issue that I would really appreciate some help with.

I was BR 3 years ago now and just this week received a letter from one of the creditors to inform me that the debt has been sold on and they HAVE ALREADY reported me to the Credit Reference Agency - without any prior notification, something they acknowledge is a mistake on their part in the letter.

However, on ringing them, I was simply told to get in touch with the company they have sold the debt to and let them know about the BR. I was also told that they couldn't retract the report to the Credit Reference Agency.

I find this wholly unacceptable and fear that my credit rating - which I have been trying to rebuild - will now be obliterated again. How and who should I approach to seek a successful resolution, and if my credit rating has now been negatively affected, some kind of compensation for the mistake they admit to making?

Any help/ direction would be much appreciated.

Keep an eye on your credit fies to see what default date etc they have used.

If it is wrong according to --> Credit Reference File Clean Up Post Bankruptcy

then use that to get it corrected
