Good evening everyone:hello: I have a banging migraine and wasn't gonna come on tonight as wanted to try and sleep it off, but I checked my emails before going to bed and saw my sis's email:(:(:( I thought I best reply/post a quick comment on here seeing as a security guy friend of mine has told me some info which might be useful, although probably not to my sis if she is not going any further with it.

You are entitled to see the CCTV footage of you for a reasonable admin fee
    http://www.ico.gov.uk/for_the_public/topic_specific_guides/cctv.aspx

When is CCTV covered by the Data Protection Act?

Most uses of CCTV will be covered by the Data Protection Act. This gives you the right to see information held about you, including CCTV images of you, or images which give away information about you (such as your car number plate). The Data Protection Act sets rules which CCTV operators must follow when they gather, store and release CCTV images of individuals. The Information Commissioner can enforce these rules. You can see our advice to operators in our CCTV Code of Practice.

It can take up a month, because they MAY have to pixellate out OTHER people in the scenes to protect THEIR personal data.

My pal says "it is a complete PIA if someone requests footage so for sake of a tenner she may as well give them !!!!!!

If they have followed her around the store for 10 minutes it will potentially cost them thousands of pounds to pixellate out all the other people, most companies will not have the technology to do it, and so will have to send off the data to a specialist company to black out/pixellate all others IDs and then return said footage, for her to then say that she can't be arsed to watch it LOL

I have some more info and will email that to you;)
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    Thanks Blue.

Hmmm. Not nice whichever way you look at it.

Personally I'd take it MUCH further.

    Definitely request the CCTV footage.

Definitely take it up with HQ. It's already been posted that they've said the customer KEEPS the receipt when redeeming a PP voucher - it's their proof of their purchase(s)

A few hours ago I had a KERFUFFLE in S's :rotfl:

    nothing like the Docs

Tried my luck with the FREE  Bavaria

Went to SS till, SA put 7 packs through in 1 go, tried the MOCs - 1st OK then unable to enter any more. She didn't want to override without Supervisors approval - then queried T&Cs and the no "BULK" redemption bit.

I replied giving my conversation with S's CS dept at HQ and that 12 almost certainly didn't constitute Bulk usage and that 6 definitely didn't - OK I had 7

However they couldn't EVEN accept TWO of them :rotfl:

After much discussion Supervisor then said it was JUST because it was on a SS till and that an override wasn't being allowed and they could do it at CS.

Went there and STILL EXACTLY the same :rotfl:
They suggested they would have to put them through 1 at as time - 1 beer, 1 coupon, 1 payment, repeat 6 more times.
I said my credit card would get refused when I tried to pay on the 4th occasion
So they eventually did a coupon override of some sort - then took my 2 BM vouchers (£10 from last Bavaria + 10p womble) - so 40p to pay

  NO BM till spit :eek:

"Where is my BM" I ask - "I think I should have got one"

"We don't have the equipment at the CS desk" "You needed to go through a NORMAL till for that"

So the supervisor (who has now left) is called back and I explain that I was "half expecting" a BM ....

... so after much discussion again ... they decide to refund everything and go to a normal till ....

COULD THEY DO THE REFUND ?? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Refund the  no problem - Minus £21
Refund a MOC - making them a Money ON Coupon ... so that it ended up as Minus 40p - NO CHANCE

Abandoned the idea completely - decided to leave it for someone else to sort out - SA told to write down what had happened and leave the note in the till. :D

They fished out all the bits of coupons and we went to a normal till
Supervisor told the SA exactly what to do - scan all beer, then 1 MOC, then put other 6 through as one off £9 manual MOC, them BMs ....

    ... so 40p to pay

Supervisor and SA both look at me .....
I look at SA ...... SA says "So that's 40p"
I look at Supervisor ...... I say "IT'S IN THE TILL AT THE CS DESK" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Supervisor tells SA to put it through that I've given her 40p :rotfl:

Transaction complete and out pops my "half-expected" BM for £10

SA actually says out loud "And here is a BM voucher for TEN POUNDS that you can spend next time you shop"
Supervisor DEFINITELY had an odd look on her face and then looked at me in a strange way

Better still, with the BM was another till spit - £3 OFF a £20 shop :rotfl:

Anyway I got my beer - not quite EPLS :D

Supervisor last seen walking away muttering to herself something about "contacting CS at HQ regarding this stupid coupon situation ......."
