    Chattmum & CW : re-paypal query?

I have just come across my paypal account & I noticed that they have been charging me for accepting payment from buyer(s)

When did that occurred? I thought it was only supposed to be listing fee & final value (what ever they are calling it) fee/commission that I only have to pay & thats the reason why I listed on free listing day.

Was it always like that? getting stunned from both sides?:(

I believe it's always been like that with Paypal, they are a payment method provider and as such, charge for the service.

and this if you are an o2 customer effected by recent disruption
    http://blog.o2.co.uk/

We have now identified all those customers directly affected (those whose devices could not connect on our system) and we and are giving them the equivalent of three days back for the disruption as a gesture of goodwill and to say sorry.
    • Pay Monthly customers will receive 10% off their July subscription which will be applied on their September bill, which is equivalent to 3 days back
    • Pay & Go customers will receive 10% extra on their first top-up in September
    • (These will be applied automatically - you don't need to do anything to activate them)

    Hi,

If I recall correctly, I think you might get the 1st few payments free, but once you have received (I think) 4 payments via credit card payment (i.e. not direct paypal to paypal transfers), you start paying about 4% plus 20p per transaction on all transactions.

If most of your transactions have been paypal to paypal, you may have gone quite a while before having to pay fees. Just a matter of luck I think.

Remember, also, unlike ebay this percentage fee is applied to your P&P as well as the item cost. So remember to factor this into your item and P&P prices.
