Hi all,
But today when I paid for some stuff including a 23p TPG voucher (woohoo), but the SA insisted that she keep the original receipt as well as the voucher. I queried this, and she checked with her super, who surprise, surprise had never even seen one. But she insisted as well that they keep the original receipt.
Is this normal, or should I have kicked up a fuss?YES
What worries me, is if I buy any electricals etc, and do a TPG, as the receipt is the guarantee, I would be stuffed - correct!
Remember, never ever ever give them your receipt no matter what. They can signed it but the receipt(s) belongs to the customer.
Now go get your money card - write to my uncle's secretary.

Tell them what you have posted. Ask them how are you going to returned "dress" that does not fit or "electrical" stuff that your family does not want.
Ask them where is your guarantee on the item(s) since they insisted on keeping your receipt.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

Hi all,
Just a quick query. I have only used the Tesco Price Guarantee printouts a few times since reading about them here a week or so back, and I've not even started wombling yet.

I would complain to Tesco head office. I had this happen to me and they sent me a £20 giftcard.
They shouldn't keep the receipt. They should mark it and give back to you.

You can complain on their facebook as well:
