More shoes on my head than Sadam Hussein's statue!!!!!Very embarrassing moment in Morrisons this morning.....

I did a big shop at T's and used quite a few mocs from the Price Drop leaftet and got a toilet bag with the luggage vouchers....T's had sent me a lot of very useful mocs too which included a Double Points coupon.....then off to Morrisons to get Pepsi and Innocent and use the £10 voucher....standing at the end checkout and there was a display of those rubber./plastic shoes( Crocs imitation ones) there were 4/5 huge cardboard display boxes stacked behind me when this young lad decided he wanted a pair from the top box, ( this is what I was told , as I said he was behind me so I had no idea what was going on)he attempted to climb up them and brought the lot down on top of me.....one box slid forward and hit me behind me knees and knocked me over and another fell on my head as I fell in a heap on the rest....a nice young man helped me up and then staff appeared from everywhere throwing shoes in all directions as they had been told that there was a woman on the floor underneath them and they were looking for me....it was quite funny at the time....but my back is a little sore right now, so I'm sitting with my feet up waiting for Wimbledon to start...the young lad was Oriental and was crying his eyes out and did not understand my reassurances that everything was OK, even my joke that it been a long time since I was' bowled over' by a nice young man......hubby thinks I ought to move about a bit so I don't get stiff, but I disagree and think I should sit here and let him get my lunch.....What a day !!!

bully, husband is right, a sore back needs moving around to keep it from stiffening up.

but I agree, he needs to get you lunch first, then you can do some gentle flexing while watching Tennis.

    Congrats MAG :beer::beer:

Can you believe it! those ppl on YW never bothered to check for their receipts for JTD or APG:eek: daren't ask them for their receipts:rotfl: when I posted about Tekco T&C to see if any Tekco mod or staff going to reply - most of them are members who replied & most said " life if too short" they get the staff put in the cupboard & forget about it:rotfl:

They called themselves savvy shoppers but I doubted it:D (me not going to say that on there am I ).

Taking a risk here to see if their Finest dessert generates JTD but it didn't :-

jax them prices sound good for the Park Inn in York, we were looking over a month ago for a weekend date for a double room couldn't get one for cheaper than £200 a night :eek::eek: we were looking at June/July so went on to check and they are indeed a lot cheaper than when we looked. We have their loyalty card and had an email book one night at Park Inn then qualify for a free night anywhere else, so we booked a night in Watford for £69 when we going out for a meal with friends(bit on the expensive side for a rm in watford but what we really want is the night in York), means we will book the York one as our free night:D;)[/QUOTE]

    WOW that's some price!!!

It's booked after I tried numerous sites and seen nearly double my price.

The Park Inn is ideal, giving its location and amenities...sauna, steam box, gym and looking on to the River Ouse...ye we got a good room aswel as breakfast!

Take a look at the cookery book at the top ( it's brown and white)I have this book and use it quite a lot....it is from 1930.
Inside the back cover it says this.......
.'Should this booklet become soiled or damaged, the Manufacturers will send you a fresh copy, free and post free, if you write to either of the addresses given on the opposite page. They will be pleased to send a copy to any of your friends who would like one.

Well they aren't free now (£2.50 plus p&p) as the addresses no longer exists, I telephoned Premier Foods who now own Be-ro and asked if they would keep their promise....and sure enough the postie has just delivered the latest edition FOC....my old one has 48 pages and this new one has 86 and is in a lovely wipe clean format......my old one has been put away...I have got lots of cookery books that I've acquired over the years but this old one has been the most useful.

Bully - have a good rest till after tea (which your OH can make) and then take a gentle stroll around the house or garden to stop those muscles stiffening up.

Aesop - hope your feeling better today and your tummy problems have cleared up

Snd - hope your OK and you manage to get that shed built

AH - hope the baby is OK

PM - hope your wedding arrangements are going according to plan.
