    PM don't cry.
Heres how I see it, if all else goes wrong you can:
    Kidnap a vicar or registrar
Get married on the front lawn of the nearest large house
and have your reception at McDonalds (wonder if they do a Mcwedding breakfast??)
    ;);)
You would still remember that day for the rest of your lives. And mainly because it was the day you got married :D:D

Now if the thought of standing in a que in mcdonalds in a wedding dress with a whole wedding party in their finery does not bring a smile to your face i dunno what will:rotfl:

Just on the off chance that someone might know...

I am booking the Park Inn York for the 17th and 18th of Aug and the cheapest price I can find is £216 B&B for both nights with Expedia.

Does anyone know of anywhere else I could check to maybe get this cheaper?

    Thanks

  • Firstly my life has been a little manic just lately and I offer you all my apologies for not being around to post much but I knew today was meaningful for dear Snowdrop and couldn't not log on and post some words of support.

For SnD and family, I am so hoping that it is just not my local area that has the sun shining brightly right now, despite it only being fleeting, think of the sun as a sign from your angel that he has wrapped his golden wings around you all on such a traumatic day with thanks for the love you felt and showed for him while he was here in your life and for the memories he leaves behind. I truly hope today has passed for you without event and you may begin to find your peace. Bless you all family Snowdrop xmagx

Dear PM, now then hun you need to breath and reboot. You are a survivor and bear the scars to prove this, what an inspiration! Your husband-to-be finds you so inspiring he wants to spend the rest of his life with you and you alone. Please PM, stop worrying about what can go wrong and start being positive about what is going right. You've ticked so many boxes, and I can sense through your posts that you feel alone in all of this but on 1 September (hope I remember right) you will be alone - in front of a wonderful man who loves you for all your rights and wrongs and exchanging personal promises. No one else in the room will matter. You have suffered I am sure 11 years of hell, perhaps use this 11th anniversary to inspire yourself for a change - you can either let these past dark days define you, destroy you or strengthen you. We here are all willing you to choose the last option for your best is yet to come :D

    AH, how is baby doing?

Ive been reading what Doc has to say and all the responses it has provoked. Truth is, we have all changed before, god it took me a long long time to get used to the new thread, none us like change that much and I was one of those who pointed an accusatory finger as being "cliquey". It wasn't until I hung around awhile that I realised you were not all related in the true sense but held affectionate banter for each other's personalities and I am glad I did. Online friendships have become a mainstay in many people's lives whatever their circumstances but just as in the real world life evolves. Tesco move their goalposts, we moan, we move on to the next sure thing. Im personally not sure I would have time to commit to another forum, I can only multi-task so much, lol. My menopausal brain cells could not take any more right now.

I think time will tell thats all and we are all still here, still posting, still supporting, still a mouse-click away and Doc I am sure will flit in and out with the dignity of a butterfly.

Today I have done a terrible thing! I have kept DD3 off school because it is sports day! She is a tub, her feet and brain rarely meet, and despite the usual carp that falls from a school's mouths such as "its not about the winning, its the taking part" is a load of old bs - my little one always, without exception, comes last in any race and is prime target for someone else's little precious (not!) to tease endlessly. So, still needing therapy from my own school p.e days I feel only empathy and have taken an executive decision to keep her off school! So if anyone from headteachers-and-spies-r-us have the time to trawl through internet forums and are out to get me - then chase me! (blows loud raspberry!)

Hugs and love as always xmagx
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

    hi MAGs

have to say, what a truely great post , inspirational & well put as always. such a pleasure to read, you always seem to know the right thing to say.

and to be honest if my daughter was in school (she has same issues as yours, can't run ) i'd do the same, so don't feel guilty. kids and adults for that matter can be so cruel.
