Just a quick post to apologise beforehand as will be watching tennis for the next 2 weeks ....housework all up to date and so is washing and ironing....btw the Rinse Aid cleans showers screens extremely well, better than any other product I've tried before...my bathroom is really extra gleaming now., it worked wonders on the taps too......
Anyone received the £10 from Pringles yet? Would be nice if it came this week so could use it towards a £40 spend at Morrisons and get the petrol coupon.

Thanks MT for the picture, they really make me smile.

PM - what date is your wedding? Hope the dress comes quickly. I hate waiting for things through the post! I am too impatient.

AH - Mum went home and really is not managing. She came back to us at the weekend, also think she was so lonely at home, even though people were popping in and out. She is lucky if she is sleeping for an hour at night and is hardly eating either. She is tiny anyway, only weighs just over 7 stone so she can't really afford to lose any weight. We are just concerned as she was opening the door, but has no idea who is there. You just hear such horrible stories about people knocking on old people's doors. She wants to go home again tonight as DH and I have tickets to see Midnight Tango with Vincent and Flavia (they were bought as a birthday present last Feb) and she wants us to go as she knows how much I was looking forward to it.

Funeral Director just phoned me to say dad now ready for viewing, but really still don't know if I can do it.

Have been back into the office today, but feel absolutely drained now so off to see if I can have a quick 40 winks before getting ready to go out.

    Have a good evening all.
  • Congrats PM on tackling some really big issues in planning for your special day. Would love you to describe your dress. Is it full length? Ivory maybe? Im so curious.

SnD, Your indecision shouts from your post, I wish we could help make your decision less hard to bear. Are you the sort of person who can look on past "if onlys" and shrug and say ah, well or are you likely to mither about it and live with regret? Are you a "feel the fear and do it anyway" kind of person? I can only speak of experience with my daughter, I truly don't know how I would feel with my parents, perhaps it is different because of the natural order, you know the perception that parents should indeed leave this world before us and therefore on a subconscious level it is easier on the soul to accept.

The clock is ticking though and I am sure you feel under all kinds of self imposed pressure. How do you cope with everyday decisions Snd, do you write pro & con lists? Do you listen to your heart or are you spontaneous by nature? If I could send you anything other than words I would send you a pocketful of courage to help you find your peace.

I am sure I speak for us all when I say that whatever decision you make about going to visit your dad, it will be the best decision for you, right here right now and that we are thinking of you at this difficult time.

Feeling sad today at how un-great Britain is fast becoming having listened to David Cameron's plans for more welfare crackdown. Where did it all go so horribly wrong. I appreciate the system has its heavy failings but why is the finger pointed at everyone who has ever claimed a benefit? This heavy handed approach is everywhere. Safe-guarding at schools (I think I may have moaned about this before) has gone o.t.t and and DD2 tells me that Mr A has warning notices in staffing areas announcing that as 1 in 3 members of staff steal they are being watched. Makes my heart sink it really does. Where is it all going to end? Maybe I wouldn't feel so saddened if Samantha Cameron did not wear £600 shoes.

    Hugs to all x
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

Thanks AH :beer::beer: got me pressy this morning shame it not a live one cos' if it is me can cook it:D:D. Had a look at the restaurant that you went. It's not authentic Thai Rest. Its Malaysian Restaurant. Their main dishes give away the autenticity of their food. Next time if you wanna go there again - let me know & I'll tell you which dish is nice.
