Went to a different asda this morning and got 13 of the pastry things off our lovely MT's thread for 30p each.

    :beer:MT

They were not priced on the shelf so my DS went and asked a SA, so sorry guys but I took the lot.:rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway got a few other bits as well, jelly diamonds, sprinkles, sponge puds (as if I hadn't got enough).

Sent my son to the till with a few bits so he could use 5 small apg's for me and the supervisor told him she has been notified that Asda are stopping doing apg's, she did not know when though, but it would be soon.

I hope she was wrong, as I pay for most of my shopping with apg's.

I had heard the same that they were ending this month I don't very often use apg but the £5 off ones have been handy

That isn't good news. I wonder if Tesco have heard about it and are stopping the RTD's because Asda are stopping the APG's and that is what is happening on Friday with Tesco. They told someone on FB not to enter any till Friday
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Has anybody travel with Qatar before? Do they rap their "holy" music & 6 times prayer down your throat? Or are they like any commercial airlines like : Cathay Pacific, KLM, Luftansa, BA. I have never ever travel with Airlines like Qatar & Emigrates cos' I was afraid of them preaching me on the aircraft & I can't get out!:D:D:D:D:D
I've flown twice with them to Thailand. No prayers, good food, drinks -not free flowing but we did get wine and an alcoholic drink to begin with. If you ask for another drink you will get. I would fly with them again. Only thing is that there was a carry on with the seats in front of us as passengers decided that they would rather have them than the ones they had booked. Excuses like my wife can't sit next to a man. (duh- then change seats with her so she has the aisle!)On another flight it was musical seats as well.

These are the people you need :D:D:D

A pilot for a Chinese carrier requested permission and landed at FRA ( Frankfurt , Germany ) for an unscheduled refuelling stop. The reason became soon apparent to the ground crew: The Number 3 engine had been shutdown previously because of excessive vibration, and because it didn't look too good. It had apparently been no problem for the tough guys on the ground back in China: as they took some sturdy straps and wrapped them around two of the fan blades and the structures behind, thus stopping any unwanted wind-milling (engine spinning by itself due to airflow passing thru the blades during flight) and associated uncomfortable vibration caused by the sub optimal fan.
    ChinaAir-a.jpg

Note that the straps are seat-belts ....how resourceful! After making the "repairs", off they went into the wild blue yonder with another revenue-making flight on only three engines! With the increased fuel consumption, they got a bit low on fuel, and just set it down at the closest airport (FRA) for a quick refill.
    ChinaAir-c.jpg
That's when the problems started: The Germans, who are kind of picky about this stuff, inspected the malfunctioning engine and immediately grounded the aircraft. (Besides the seat-belts, notice the appalling condition of the fan blades.) The airline operator had to send a chunk of money to get the first engine replaced (took about 10 days). The repair contractor decided to do some impromptu inspection work on the other engines, none of which looked all that great either. The result: a total of 3 engines were eventually changed on this plane before it was permitted to fly again.

Apparently THEY ARE CHEAP THOUGH :rotfl:
