OK, as it stands, they HAVE fixed the problem.
WELL PART OF IT
The VAT issue was associated with the switch to the new 3 hour checking period from the "6am following day" version - which as you have noticed has been reinstated (temporarily)
I've been told (I'll be checking for myself later) that doing an APG check for the days when it was originally going wrong (definitely 26th, 27th, most likely 25th and probably 28th & 29th to some extent) will produce the correct figures ........
... that's for a receipt with those dates THAT HAS NOT BEEN ENTERED BEFORE
Those that have been entered before will still be wrong (at the moment) - that's because the detailed comparison information WAS CALCULATED at the time of the error and inputting the same receipt numbers just retrieves the STORED DATA for that original check that's incorrect - it doesn't recalculate each time you enter them.
However, I have pointed out this flaw in their "FIX so far" and that when they had the Morrison's N/A problem 3 months ago, they did "RESET" the system in some manner such that an already checked receipt could be re-checked, FORCING the APG to RECALCULATE from scratch.
So hang on to those receipts for the moment - hopefully they will ultimately end up being worth more than they are and exactly what you expect them to be
