    I have a Tesco Price Promise voucher, but I don't have my original delivery note. Can I still use this? Has anyone ever been asked for their delivery note or receipt? Can I use the confirmation e-mail instead?
    Hi
    I have used 4 in the last 2 weeks and not been asked once for my reciept. It is worth a try, I would try again as well if asked for one the first time as you might just get a jobsworth. :D

    Hi,

    I've had a couple of TPPs in the last week where I gave the SA the TPP and receipt, and they have both looked at me daft and said I think this is your's and give me my receipt back without looking at it.

    The second time, the SA did not know what to do with the TPP and asked her super, and she just said scan it as a coupon, did not even tell her to check the receipt matched.

    As such I'd say it may be worth a try.

    I have been determined to get Tesco's coupon policy as I continuously have issues in my local store - even with their own coupons. Not sure if this is of any help but thought I'd post anyway -

    I’m sorry that you’re having trouble with coupons and I understand that you have requested our coupon policy. I have attached a file that is a flyer of our up to date coupon policy and I hope this is helpful.

    In addition, we do not accept damaged, copied or defaced coupons, and below is some further information about our different types of coupons:

    * Supplier Coupons:

    • Issued by suppliers such as Coca Cola, Ariel, etc.
    • The coupon can only be redeemed if the customer has purchased the product
    • Coupon must be in date
    • Some suppliers use a watermark on their coupons so staff can tell if they are genuine
    • If the coupon does not scan, staff should enter the barcode manually
    • No change can be given

    * Clubcard Vouchers:

    • Coupon can not be taken as a non scanned coupon under any circumstances. This is because the store will not be able to claim back the money
    • No change can be given
    • The name on the voucher must match the name on the Clubcard and Clubcard must be presented at the time of transaction
    • If voucher is not damaged and cannot scan, a message will be displayed on the till and staff must return the coupon to the customer explaining the error. Customer May need to contact Clubcard to resolve issue
    • If voucher is damaged will not scan, staff should call a Team Leader to contact Clubcard and request a new voucher whilst customer is present

    * Points Value Vouchers:

    • The product must be purchased or the required spend value must be met, otherwise the voucher will not scan
    • If the product has been purchased or value spend has been met and the voucher does not scan, staff should call a Team Leader to report the issue to the Stores Helpdesk
    • If the coupon does not scan but the customer has purchased the product, the points can be added manually at the Customer Service Desk

    * Competitors’ Conditional Spend Coupon:

    • We no longer accept competitors’ coupons

    * Internet Coupons:

    • The product displayed on the coupon must be purchased
    • Coupon must be in date
    • Coupon can be in colour or black and white but must not look like a photocopied coupon
    • If the coupon does not scan, staff should enter the barcode manually

    * Luncheon Vouchers:

    • Must be in date
    • Full value of coupon must be used
    • No change can be given
    • Only food and drink can be purchased
    • If the coupon does not scan, staff should enter the barcode manually

    * Healthy Start Vouchers:

    • More than one voucher can be used providing the correct amount of product is purchased
    • Coupon must be in date
    • These are issued by the governments to be used on cow's milk, long life or UHT (NOT goats, soya, evaporated or flavoured milk), fresh fruit and vegetables, and infant formulae milk (not for babies older than 6 months)

    * Variable Value Coupon:

    • Coupon must be in date
    • No change can be given
    • Full value of coupon must be used
    • If the coupon does not scan, staff should enter the barcode manually

    * Coinstar Coupon:

    • Coinstar coupons can be exchanged for cash at the Customer Services Desk or used towards payment of goods.
    • Must have genuine security feature located on the back

    Oh and ignore the bit about an attached document - it was a simple 1 page thing explaining that they no longer take competitors coupons as they believe the price drop works better!

    I also asked about the price drop booklets as non of my local stores have had them since end of June or Early July and they won't allow me to use the online ones - the response was as follows:

    Thank you for getting back to me to let me know your referring to our Better Value brochures.

    Just to let you know, we no longer give these out in our stores, and instead the decision has been made to have them available in major national newspapers. We are still in process of implementing this change and so the brochures will be available in these magazines in about 2 weeks, and it is very likely that they will have coupons in them once again.

    Thanks for posting the details Mickey.p. The only part I didn't like on the letter was this part

    * Internet Coupons:

    • The product displayed on the coupon must be purchased

    There is a lot of times where I have had arguments with staff when it shows a picture of a certain flavour/scent of a product but the coupon says any and they have said I cannot use the coupon because it isn't the same as the picture and now the letter agrees with this.:(:( I very rarely use Tesco now because of all the hassle with coupons, but handy to know what they have been told (if they have taken notice which most of them won't as per Tesco:cool:).
    Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    This prints at bottom of page and you can print 2 - for new couponers after printing first copy either page back or F5 to get 2nd copy.
