  • Thanks Dave Ham, I think you're right! Have you known any pitt falls with this kind of agreement? I may be a little paranoid, only I've heard horror stories of the lender withdrawing their mortgage offer right at the last minute! :o/

I know loads of pitfalls and bad news stories but not sure that will help your peace of mind.

I am assuming they make it a condition of on the mortgage offer that you repay these so do not necessarily need to pay them now....

I also know many more good stories where there is a happy ending - keep being prudent but try not to worry about things which are outside of your control and may not happen in any case...

  • Yep! My sentiments exactly! :o)
  • great news!! totally nerve wracking but great result. :j

Stinky how long did you have to wait to hear back from Natwest initially? Just sent docs today and would be good to have an idea...

    thanks!
  • Hey Vaselinequeen, It took them 2 weeks! :o/ Apparently there is a huge backlog due to the stamp duty leverage (end of March) and that is why it took so long......

Does anyone know what the process is now? I'm under the impression that Natwest won't send a surveyor round until we have paid off the debts, is this the case? Also can they value a property when it is in the final stages of building it?
