MSE News: Price drop for iPad 2 after 'new iPad' launch

I don't have have one, just because they are so expensive. Plus, gadgets like these (maybe not Apple as they price fix all their products) i.e laptops, computers, tvs always come down in price over the year.
Is it just me, but does anyone else find it annoying how Apple price fixes it's products and never allows a distributor i.e Tesco or Argos to offer discounts
Argos does currently have good discounts on the Ipods, as does Amazon, and Tesco I think too - not sure about the IPADS though, they seem to be pretty much the same price everywhere.0 -
Tesco Direct often have discount codes which can be used online.
Currently they have a £10 off a £75 spend code.0 -
£499 for the new IPAD what great value !!!!
Why not use one of the nice " Payday loan companies" to pay for it.
Your life will be so much better0 -
Am I the only person without a single Apple product?
There are better and cheaper products out there that do the same thing, according to review sites
Well I bought a Samsung Tab and a Blackberry Playbook. Both were full of glitches and would hang or freeze. I didn't want to be a sheep and get the iPad but I gave in and wish I had done so sooner.
I actually like the fact that Apple control pricing as there is nothing more annoying than buying something and then seeing the price drop. That's why I am hoping Apple will compensate recent buyers of the IPad 2.0 -
I cant wait for the IPAD 3 :j:j:j
Just ordered 16gb with wifi for £399, just need to decide what I want engraved on it for my hubby.
I am not going to bother with 4g as its not going to be available until the end of the year at the earliest and to be honest I only use my current ipad at home with my wireless intenet and when I am on holiday I link to the owners wifi.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Comet, Curry's & PC World have reduced the Ipad 2 range by £70 or £80 across the board.
HMV have just reduced the 16gb wifi so far, hoping they'll reduce the rest as would like to use a voucher scheme through work to get the 32gb.
Not really sold that the new one is that much better than the ipad 2, the big draw being the better quality screen, but the ipad 2 looks pretty good to me?0 -

I liked it too. Up until I bought a refurbished iPad 2 from Apple for £339 on 21st Feb 2012, then saw the price drop 15 days later... to £289..... :mad:0 -
Any news on a rebate for recent Ipad2 purchasers?
Bought mine from PC World last week. I know in the past Apple have offered to refund the difference when they have dropped prices.
Anyone else in my position?
If you had purchased from Apple directly within 14 days you could have got the difference back. You have no come back if you purchased it from PC World.
It was a bit silly buying one when the new one was so close (its not like it was kept a secret).0 -
If this is not waste of money, I don't know what else to class it asI owe £3233 @ 0%0
