Mortgage exit fee

I have an endowment mortgage that ends in May and I have a repayment mortgage that ends in June both with Abbey
I have spoken to them and they say that I wil have to pay £225 exit fee.
Will I have to pay twice and should I pay the fee whatever that is and then attempt to reclaim it or should I refuse to pay. Should I write to them now.Thanks

depends on what fee was applicable when you took out the mortgage. are they both on the same property just part and part or split products? or is this 2 different properties0
