Has anyone else used them. I have never dealt with a less professional outfit. They are the slowest bank I have ever been with and change their criteria at the drop os a hat.

They aren't great on service but they are pretty flexible. What criteria have they changed? The J is a Financial Advisor-This site doesn't check anyone's status and as such any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as financial advice. Clydesdale certainly have their idiosynchrasies !! But as The J states they are very good at accepting unusual cases - particularly (at least as a broker) if negotiated ahead of application.
They are, like the majority of lenders, struggling with coping with the current rush.
We've got a case going through with them at the moment and their service levels are no worse than others such as the Leeds (who have a second mortgage for the same client), Skipton and even Natwest currently.
Lending criteria are changing with almost every lender on a daily basis, as are the details themselves - but don't confuse this with picking up on existing criteria that cause a problem as the case progresses (the detailed criteria are not published to the direct customers, nor even to the brokers in fact - but the experienced broker knows how to identify possible issues and pre-clarify them as necessary).
If you can indicate what is actually causing the unexpected problem someone here can probably comment/assist.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
