I got a interview at the jobcentre tomorrow, i have had many of these before, my jobsearch is brilliant according to the advisor. But i do have a problem with the letter i am supposed to discuss training or anything that will help me into work, i have discussed many time i feel not having a FLT licence to be a major stumbling block in me gaining employment. Thing is i cannot fund the weeks course myself and everytime i enquire about it the times i sign on the advisor is clueless or says there are no funds.

I am due to be transferred back to a provider but yet again i will get the no funding answer of them too, i have been told by many an employer that if i had the licence i would've got the job. So i am in a no win situation. Really grates on my nerves

They will only fund pointless schemes to make it look like they're doing something positive, they are not there to help you find work, they are there to make sure you do your part of the JSA agreement.

Are there no schemes local to you who will provide free FLT training, im sure my local Learn Direct centre did the training.
