Hi Guys,
Was wondering if any of your mortgage whizzes can offer me some advice.
I have a deposit of £60k and my mortgage adviser has come back with the following Mortgage:
A & L repayment mortgage fixed @ 5.34% for two years then standard variable rate thereafter, for £100k
Set Up Fees - upfront of £599.00
Is this a good deal?
Im a first time buyer looking at a property of £145k.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

You have probably been shown all the other schemes that come before that one, but have higher fees
What flexibility do you want from the mortgage i.e. overpayments, portability etc?
Will you be clearing your debts?
I think there may be a deal that is a slightly higher rate, but with a lower arrangement fee and lower exit fees - taking the £100 mortgage into account it may be better looking at some other deals with your broker
