I Wanna know how to get stamps valued.

Have recently been given a quantity of stamps including quite a lot of first day covers.Where do I start to work out what they may be worth?

Hiya, many years ago stanley gibbons was your man, his books of stamp prices was the place to go. I presume the company have these days gone high tech so a quick google should do the trick.

Gibbons will give you the value, but if you want a better idea of how much you can sell them for on the open market, I would suggest a little look at ebay.

I know someone who runs a stamp business and he is always going around the country looking at collections with a view to valuing and buying. I guess it depends on what size and what is in the collection whether he would come out. But you could always give him a call or email.
