IPA Calculations / Expenditure

Hello, grateful for any advice please regarding reasonable household expenditure when the OR calculates any surplus for an IPA following bankruptcy.
For a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) I see from the Insolvency Office's guidelines that £59 is the maximum amount permitted for telephone use. However, does anyone have any experience of having an IPA and being in a contract i.e. Sky or Virgin Media where telephone, tv, broadband are part of a package?
The Insolvency Office now state that broadband use in households is acceptable due to government committments for all households to have it. My Virgin packgage includes broadband, TV, Line rental and free evening calls. This comes to £56 a month. However, my wife's and my mobiles are in addition (under contract). Bankruptcy in my name only by the way.
Any experiences / outcomes would be really helpful. Thank you.

hi, where do i get the amounts from? I could do with a look myself. And where do i get a copy of the BR forms from to look at?
thanks0 -
Those are average figures for the benefit of the examiner, not max figures for the benefit of you. The OR may allow more ir less. What you should always put down is what your actual true costs are for your family. Simple reallyHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
Totally agree with DI, put your actual amounts down as the OR will require at least 12 months statements so will be able to see what you are actually spending.:pB&SC No. 298

I agree with DI and Dojo too, they are on the 'Look here first' sticky by Fermi.
These are the HES figures just for the OR really and please please don't copy these as the OR will then scrutinize every bit of your SOA and BR with a fine tooth comb!! Use your own figures as the OR will ask for receipts (the OR will see your bank statements as well and remember some of your expenses may be higher too).

Thanks for the replies and for the link.
I feel I am being a little understood. Im not in anyway saying I want to put down incorrect figures. I just want to know if combined cable tv / phone / broadband is automatically ruled out by the OR as a luxury and therefore my contract forced into the bankruptcy debt or whether the OR consider combined packages on an individual basis. I was wondering what experiences people have had as many people now have a combined Sky or Virgin package.0
