i just popped in unannounced on recommendation. i was only sat there ten minutes as i had to get back to work. no follow on svr was mentioned. should i check if there are exit fees? then can i just change again depending on the market at the end of the two years, sorry for my ignorance in these matters as i'm not bad with finance but i've got a lot to learn and limited time to sort a new deal out, thanks

Ten minutes and he gives you advice? Sounds dodgy as you like, avoid!
  • Interested in whether anyone has moved from BOI as part of their latest push in Jan/Feb. We are being offered a two year base rate + 1.5% tracker from First Direct with £1K cashback if we responded by end of Feb. Was doubtful about moving but obviously now glad we looked at given the SVR announcement. Was stated was avaliable up to 85% ltv and seems to better what First Direct are offering generally.

Now just hoping the application goes through ok and the deal doesn't disappear.

Posted this on the forum item on the SVR news but got lost amoung the outrage there so thought I'd try again here. Obviously mean no offence to anyone not being offered an option like this.
