Valuation for remortgage

Hi,
We are looking to have our home revalued after carrying out a loft conversion (adding a double bedroom, bathroom and large separate dining room). We don't have much of an idea of how much the house is worth. Nobody has made the same alterations in the area and online valuations from Zoopla and Nethouseprices etc vary by 30k. We therefore don't know how much equity we now have in the property and aren't sure what mortgages we would be eligible for.
My questions is: If we had a valuation carried out by a company offering a 70% LTV and found that we only had 25% will another mortgage company want to carry out their own valuation thereby charging us for 2 valuations?
Thanks

Hi there,
Firstly most remortgages (ie to different lender) will give free valuations, or maybe a small £99 fee worst ways..
Also, select a lender that has decent 70 and 75% products and you can just change products if you want to..
Good luckI am a Mortgage Broker
