Can you add to your mortgage to do a loft conversion

hi all

new to the forums and looking for some advise. is it possible to add the cost of a loft conversion to your mortgage

    It may be possible depending on the figures and meeting lender criteria.

    It probably depends if you have enough equity already in the property.
    So any further lending would be based on the current value of the house and would not consider what the property value would be after improvements.
