How nice of the bank!!!

I phoned up natwest customer service to get the account number of an old student bank account so i can claim bank charges back and they passed me over to a lovely lady to discuss my account. I have a loan (just over 12 months), current acocunt with £850 overdraft, she oh so nicely asked me would i like another loan to incorporate my overdraft, my current loan and another other bills into one monthly payment (yes the c workd c-o-n-s-o-l-i-d-a-t-i-o-n). Do I hell, thats what happened last time an I increased my overdraft back up to £850 and blew money on the cards again!!! 3 months ago I would have jumped at the chance of this, they were gonna give me a 15K loan, 15 thousand!!!!!!!! That would have left me some money for a nice holiday, loads of nice clothes!!! I’m so proud of myself that I have turned it down, the lady on the phone kept asking me if I was sure, she asked about 4 times!!!

stoopid people, tryin to get me in more debt

  • Well done you!!

NatWest are awful with those consilidation loans. Everytime i would ring, or go into a branch they would start hassling me about it.

What is it about NOOOOO that they don't understand.

I can think of another appropriate 'c' word too lol! But I'm a lady :)

Well done on resisting, it shows how far you have come.

Natwest do seem to offer credit at the drop of a hat, I was with them for years, and when I left them I had an overdraft of about £500 and a credit card of £3k.......took me forever to repay, and it could have been a LOT worse bearing in mind they gave me a credit card limit of £7800 at 19 years old!

Yes, that would have been funnier :o

Unfortunately the end of the month doesn't mean much to me financially, I got paid 2 days ago, and am feeling skint already.....

But the bills are paid and the fridge-freezer is full, so can't complain.
