I'd do it by letter. Royds cannot be trusted - I speak from vast personal experience on that one - and if your account is with them, and you're worried about amounts coming out, then the best thing to do is change banks to somewhere unconnected with them.

Hi, I've got a personal loan from Lloyds TSB that is being delt with by SMC Solicitors, I've not had a statement from them on what my balance is (I'm making minimum payments at the moment) and I can't find any of the paperwork that has their address so I can write to them. Any clues please?
    Thanks

Wait till they write to you again (and if you do write to them, don't put a signature on the letter!), but whatever you do, don't phone them.

Then again, this is Royds, and they're going down the pan anyway.
  • Thanks for that but my problem is that the Nat West collections people want me to complete another form declaring what I owe and earn and I need to calculate in the balance on the lloyds loan. Don't ya just love it when the other half walks out and leaves you with the financial mess to sort out? :) So whether I want to contact them or not I really need that address :(

Whether the bank ask you for what your income and expenditure details are or not, it's not for them to know, they don't need to know, and you don't have to tell them.

You have every right to refuse to tell them that - it's not relevant or pertinent to them, and they can't force you to do so.
