Today I had a presentation on company benefits etc. and one of the topics was transferring from SIP to SIPP. (also explained here)
Currently when I buy the shares I have to keep them for 5 years to keep the tax relief saving. Then when I transfer them into a SIPP I get a bonus round of tax relief (so effectively I am getting a lot of money from doing this).
This can only occur after 5 years to get the benefits.
However, my SIP investments also have dividend shares, which only have to be kept for 3 years. Can anyone confirm that I can transfer dividend shares from SIP into a SIPP after the 3 years?
(articles on the web only talk about the shares you've bought and the 5 year rule)
