I need to up my income, I work part time and I'm at college, but would like to go into tutoring, I'm already part of a website, but not getting much luck, I was thinking if I could ask schools to hand out leaflets? also is there and laws I must adhere to as well? Thanks a lot.

Why would any school distribute leaflets for someone offering "tutoring" whom they do not know?
What qualifications have you got? If you are planning to tutor children or vulnerable members of the community, have you had a CRB check? If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I very much doubt that schools would hand leaflets out for you - for one thing they generally don't like to be seen to be advertising other companies, and then especially with something like tutoring they could be seen to be endorsing you by giving out leaflets, and then be seen as partially liable by parents if they had any issues with you.
You don't say what age of children and what subject you are wanting to tutor but since you are only at college I'm assuming the highest level you have in the subject is GCSE and you have no teaching qualications? Do you have a CRB or police check?
There is a thread on here about tutoring so have a look at that - although, and apologies for being negative, but there are so many people offering this service these days that I unfortunately can't see many parents choosing someone with no experience or qualifications over the many others who will have, unless you have something that can really make you stand out.0
