Not unless you can directly attribute it to a protected quality such as race or gender.0

Unless you can prove that you are being paid less due to your sex, gender, sexual orientation or a disability, you’re not being discriminated against.
Employers can pay whoever they like, what they like.
Your best plan of action here would be to bring it up with your manager at your next performance review. Don’t mention that you know that others are getting paid more, instead focus on the duties you have been performing and how they fall more in line with a regular technician, rather than a “junior” role and you hope that this will be reflected in the development of your role.0 -
Have you asked for a promotion or pay rise?0

Have you spoken to your boss and enquired about a promotion?
If your boss is approachable ask to speak to him/her privately and tell him exactly what you are telling us.
I had a similar issue working in IT about 15 years ago. I took a note of all praise I received, kept copies of emails from people commending me on my job. I also kept details of all projects/extra work I'd done and asked my boss for a chat to put this forward. I was very calm and just explained how I felt and he agreed to put me forward for a promotion. In a couple of months I got it.
From then on I also kept a file of all my achievements etc. and brought them out in the yearly reviews. Made it a lot easier to plead my case for a good rise.
Obviously I don't know what the company is like you work for, but in my company it would do no favours going to the union.0
