Need to rant...

I have worked really hard this month to try and lower debts. I thought I would concentrate on overdraft as my credit cards are all on a fixed low rate for the life of the balance. I have worked extra shifts, sold loads of stuff on ebay and scrimped and saved on food etc. I have managed to get my overdraft down by about £300.00 which is a great achievement for me.

The thing is a letter came through this morning which I opened as I thought it was for my but it was for OH and it was from the Halifax - over his overdraft limit. They have honoured 2 payments he has made, one for £5.00 and another for £20.00. They have charged him £30.00 for each one and another £28.00 for unauthorised overdraft - £88.00 in charges for £25.00  HOW ANNOYING! He is in so much trouble when he gets home.

The thing that annoys me is I could have put some money into his account to stop it, I feel like sometimes we go 2 steps foward and 3 back!

OK rant over :o

The early days of debt sorting really are two steps forward one back. This time next year you will be Miss organized and these things will never happen again.

It sounds like your husband is not really on board. It will take both of you making the massive effort that you are currently making to get out of this. I screamed at my hubby until he got it. It took abiut 5/6 months, but we have never looked back. You need to get him on board.

Chin up. You will get there.
