Glad I dont share an office with you lol :rotfl:
  • Tuna pasta salad is a good standby from the storecupboard. Also storecupboard things like tuna or beans on toast is yummy if you have any cooking facilities.

It was on the cheapest evening meal thread. The post said put red lentils in a pan, add curry paste and stir for a bit. Then add a pint of water cook for half an hour. However, I also added an onion, sweet potato, chopped carrot and parsnip and a tin of chopped tomatoes. I also cooked it longer as it was still a bit watery and the carrots took a while to cook properly.

Smells nice but haven't tried it yet.

Edit: It was lovely - and I'm not generally a huge fan of lentils!! :D

The others in my office bring in left over chilli, stew, curry - so I really don't think anyone will mind too much - and it's not like it's chickpea curry ;)

Thanks guys. Re: the pannier - my bike is a mountain bike with a funny-shaped frame - I can only just fit a mud guard on it! I have thought of panniers, but that will mean extra outlay and they might not fit. There is a microwave here, so I shall be trying some of your ideas.

I just don't want to get bored of lunch, because then I find it really hard not to go out and buy something.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
