Santander Loan - 4 Late payments

Hi
Bit of advice required here.

I have a flexible loan with Santander ( formally a Cahoot loan) I have just found out that 4 late payments have been marked on my credit file over the last 12 months.
This is currently stopping me getting a Mortgage.
I have disputed this with Santander but they are taking a long time investigating. I have not been advised of any missed payments, never ben sent any default notices and my monthly statements dop not show any arrears.
There was a period, due to system issues with the cahoot- santander change over , when I didn't get statements and I struggled to get Santander to accept payment over the phone or even tell me what I had oustanding. They eventually told me to wait for a statement and then pay what it says , which I did, so these missed payments may relate to this period
I always pay at least the minimum amount shown on the statements.
What are my chances of getting these late payment markers removed and how do I go about it, other then complaining to Santander as I have already stated above.?

with these guys, the chances are slim in my experience. I had to take them to court to correct false data. However, if you were late, this info might be correct on your file.

I hope your experience is different from mine and you get them removed. Fire of a letter asking for removal as a gesture of goodwill. If it happened 4 times though, it doesnt suggest a system error I'm afraid

I am almost certain it wasn't 4 times, hence the query. I also made attempt to pay but wasn't able to.
I have also been told by three different members of Santander staff that I am not in arrears so hopefully these markers have been placed in error or at least unfairly.
I have made a complaint to the Executive Complaints team so will see what they come back with

Formal complaint time. In writing, signed for. Complaints email on the Santander home page to save cash and time.

Make sure you mention no statements and they made it hard or refused to take payment. Tell them you want your credit report correcting. Failure to reply of give ou what you need and you can take to FOS. If you need to go to FOS then it may take 3 months from referring to them to sort if they agree with you.

I had false data on my file. Register for a months free trial with Equifax, and get them to remove it by stating the data is wrong.
