Yes, I've had it for years. It comes and goes and I can be free of it for quite long periods of time. My hands used to flare up quite often but that has improved significantly in recent years, not sure whether it's the weather (moved to Australia) or quite what. I get it on one of my feet only, and that is fairly frequent for me but although more frequent, usually less severe than on my hands.
I avoid wearing tights and synthetic shoes (particularly in combination) for more than a couple of days in a row (I mean wearing different pairs of tights on consecutive days, not the same pair!) as this does seem to cause my foot to flare up.
Beyond that, I don't want to give medical advice, of course, but can tell you that body shop hemp works well for me at soothing my hands when they get sore. I used to have steroid cream but stopped using it (with the agreement of my GP).0 -
I've had it on hands and feet sometimes when it's hot . Sorry I don't know how to stop it . It comes and goes . My dad used to have it too . It dries up then peels off , nice . I try to keep my feet cool but find if it comes , it comes!0

I get this when it is hot and sunny, don't know whether it is the heat or the UV rays that trigger it. Used to put it down to stress (was told they were stress bumps) but I am not certain it is the heat/sun.
Must remember to use high factor sunscreen on my hands this year, to test my theory!!0 -
I had this on my fingers but didn't know what it was until now - so thank you:) I just put it down to eczema in general and treated it with an otc steroid cream from Boots I cant remember which one but I asked/showed the pharmacist and they recommended it so maybe you could do the same, I believe mine was triggered by stress and it took 2/3 weeks of 2/3 daily applications of the cream for it to go - best of luck:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I get this and treat it with steroid cream. Heat and stress can sometimes cause a flare-up, but the main culprit with mine is soap. I use Dermol Lotion to wash my hands [I get this on prescription - I don't know if it's available OTC], always use rubber gloves to wash up and wear plastic gloves to wash my hair. Strangely a bath with bubble bath in dosn't affect it.0
