Forum taking AGES to load!

Evening all.

Sorry to moan. I've seen talk about this on other threads but this board has a lot of traffic.

Since the redesign everything seems to take ages to load - really sluggish and very frustrating. :mad:

Can I ask if anyone at MSE Towers is taking account of what the Forum Users are saying, and if so, what are the techie team doing to sort it out?

I wasn't aware they had switched over to the new design yet. I'm still using the old one.

I'm on *stretchy* so wasn't aware it had changed - although I had noticed the banner at the top has changed (it was saying that the switch was happening next week, last week)

It seems to be working fine on that version.

I think I might be having a Senior Moment!!

But everything is still taking ages to load, and it's only this site 'cos I checked!

I agree - I had even started looking for another PC thinking mine had had its chips! However all the other sites are fine - it's only MSE.

I've not had any probs with slowness on either version.

Are you using Internet Explorer, as I think some number of people have reported slowness with that?

On Firefox, Chrome, or Opera here I have no trouble, new theme or not.

The buttons have been removed for the time being and replaced with simpler, faster ones which will not slow down Internet Explorer. I hope that helps.
