hi - anyone had any experience with applying for mortgages if you have been into your unauth overdraft quite a few times?
we have excellet credit rating and have not missed any payments, just made overpayments

It will definitely have an affect, although depending upon your overall risk profile will depend on mortgage application.
Try and stay clean for a few months and it is easy erradicated.

Use your savings if necessary in future. Exceeding an overdraft limit suggests poor financial management. Which from a perspective lenders point of view would be a concern. You need to demonstrate that you are a good risk to lend to.0
