why not have them as a rainbow? ie each one has a sep colour? bright orange, lime green, hot pink, etc etc? someone on here did it last year and it looked amazing.0

Lemon and grey sounds like a great combo. I really like the rainbow idea as well.
The other combo that might work is yellow and purple - either a bright sunshine yellow and Cadbury purple, or something more muted like lemon and lilac shades.
Also do the groomsmen have to have cravats? I'm just wondering if it would be easier to get the colours you want in ordinary ties..."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
Hi i was just having a read through and thought would send some pics from my wedding and hopefully the sellers from ebay where we got the bits from. Ours was a very budget wedding, and a lot of searching for the right things! Excuse the pictures if have come out too big!

Firstly we had hot pink and orange - the adult girls wore black because that would suit all their skin/hair tone...dont think any would have been imporessed if i said you are wearing orange dress! haha. They wore thei shawls all day and had real flowers in their hair..one gerbera to match their colour. The rest of the flowers/button holes were all fake.
The shawls were from a cheapy clothes shop in my local town...bit like market clothes if that makes sense? They were £1, didnt have a orange one so brought white and dyed them.
Flowers for wands/boquest from dunelm mill. Again didnt have the pink i wanted in the gerberas, so brought white and then got the pink in oasis floristry spray and did myself.
Flower girl dresses were ebay, as was button holes and the guys ties -
this is where the ties were from

this was the dresses for the flowergirls-

this is where we got to button holes from - got a really good deal on them, ordered orange ivory and the pink. Got enough so that the grooms men had one, hubby had two ivory, grandparents ad a single rose, and both the mums had all three together in a corsage that i made each.

Yellow and purple go really well together - I used to work for a company with a yellow and purple logo and colour scheme on their documents.
I just did a Google image search for "wedding purple and yellow" and lots of pics come up for inspiration:

We toyed with yellow and grey but had purple in the end. Anyway, this search was a great inspiration to me at the time!

Thanks so much girls. I'm toying now with violet n yellow, or orange, yellow, lime. I only have one bridesmaid my sister and im getting upset with her n my mum as they won't help look for her dress and are complaining about the budget/style etc. I'm at the point where I feel like saying f off I won't have a bridesmaid. Rhey keep suggesting colours I'm not keen on, and then saying I'm too fussy and "can't be helped"

I've been using this site for colour scheme ideas. I'm tied into powder blue as a main colour (OH's uniform) but after a look on this site I am going for blue, chocolate brown and ivory
